Duration: Direct Hire
Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

With over 50 years of experience placing people with small and global companies, we have offices in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, serving clients nationwide.Position Overview:We are currently seeking an FMI Supervisor for a client in New Carrollton, Maryland.Key Responsibilities:As the Supervisor of Production, your day-to-day duties will consist of, and may not be limited to:
  • Supervision & Leadership: Supervise shop production employees to ensure they meet work schedules and production goals.
  • Work Standards: Establish, implement, and review work standards. Ensure that employees comply with safety regulations and proper work procedures.
  • Employee Development: Select, train, and develop employees’ capabilities. Administer discipline and counsel employees as needed.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Ensure work schedules are adhered to and materials are available for each crew before shifts start.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce safety rules and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. Ensure that the work area is clean, safe, and orderly.
  • Quality Control & Efficiency: Monitor and ensure that work meets company standards. Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and eliminate material damage and loss.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete production documentation with accuracy and ensure timely completion of reports.
  • Team Communication: Communicate regularly with managers, supervisors, and employees to facilitate the flow of information and ensure progress is tracked.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational, supervisory, and communication skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings/blueprints.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, lift up to 40 lbs., and climb stairs and ladders.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical and technical work procedures, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with hand and power tools. Knowledge of both English and Metric systems of measurement.
  • Software: Good computer skills and the ability to multi-task.
