Job Title: FMI Supervisor
Location: College Park, MD (2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Type: Permanent
Salary: $72,000 - $82,000 (depending on experience)Position Overview:Lighthouse Professional Services is currently seeking an experienced FMI Supervisor to join our client in College Park, MD. As an FMI Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily work activities on the rail cars delivered to the customer. You will oversee the work of clerical and technical personnel, ensuring that work standards and safety procedures are followed, and ensure timely coordination with the customer and vendors.Key Responsibilities:

Develop business strategies aligned with KRC’s Management Policy.
Manage employees effectively by selecting, training, and developing their capabilities, while ensuring proper succession planning.
Administer discipline and handle HR matters according to company policies and procedures.
Establish and implement work standards and schedules; assign work and review employee performance.
Supervise activities for a specific shift, ensuring safety and an orderly work environment.
Control work hours to maintain site budget and minimize overtime.
Coordinate with the customer on daily work activities, ensuring timely progress.
Ensure all employees follow customer safety procedures.
Audit and submit daily vouchers for personnel under supervision.
Coordinate vendor activities, ensuring warranty obligations and necessary paperwork are submitted.
Work with minimal supervision, handling multiple and changing priorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in warranty, production, quality, or engineering, or 3 years of mechanical/technical experience with some supervisory responsibilities.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with both English and Metric measurement systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in an active rail car environment.
Strong computer and report-generating skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Professional demeanor when interacting with customer representatives.
Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, and lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
Ability to manage constantly changing priorities.
