We invest in excellent working partnerships, powered by people. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler I located in Beverly, MA.Position Summary and Special Duties:The Mechanical Assembler I is responsible for assembling high-precision products of varying complexity under a more experienced employee's guidance. This person will also be responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed. As a (an) Mechanical Assembler I your day to day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Essential Functions:

  2. Under the direction of a more experienced employee, assemble a variety of subassemblies, standard and unique products, using established procedures
  3. Accurate fitting, aligning, and adjusting required to very close tolerances or precision fits subject to strict inspection.
  4. Set up, and test complete products to ensure that units meet specification and customer order requirements
  5. Other responsibilities as required.
 Required Competencies 
  1. Ability to be a team player with excellent communication skills
  2. Ability to read mechanical drawings
  3. Good manual dexterity
  4. Basic computer skills
  5. Detail orientated
  6. Understanding of the importance of customer service
 Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct reports.Work Environment This job operates in a dedicated laboratory in a professional manufacturing environment. Employees in this role routinely use electrical test equipment, standard hand tools, and some office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully, some of which may be done with accommodations. While performing this job's duties, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing. The employee is frequently required to move about the office, use a computer, and reach with hands and arms. It may be necessary to lift 50 lbs.
  1. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision.
  2. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
  3. Must have visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications; visual abilities also include close vision, distance vision, color vision.
  4. Frequently required to sit, stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend and reach with hands and arms
  5. Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  6. Ability to squat or kneel occasionally
 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time hourly position that operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.Travel Travel is not required for this role.Required Education and Experience • High School Diploma or GED• 1-3 years in an assembly environment #HP360
