Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Beacon Falls, CT Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: Competitive, based on experience Benefits: Health benefits, Simple IRAJob Summary: We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a direct hire position in Beacon Falls, CT. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on creating detailed drawings, designing machinery, and performing calculations to meet client specifications. This role requires expertise in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks and knowledge of machining processes.Key Responsibilities:
Create approval and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Generate reports showing drawing status.
Communicate with clients regarding technical requirements.
Measure example units from potential customers.
Understand machine fits, tolerances, and machining processes.
Review 2nd party drawings daily.
Perform calculations of beam deflection and critical speeds using in-house software.
Job Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5+ years of experience.
Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of machine fits, tolerances, and machining processes.
Some clients may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination before employment, or a reasonable accommodation can be requested.
