We are currently seeking a Production Planner to work in Winsted, Connecticut.Job Title: PlannerLocation: Winsted, ConnecticutSalary: $64,000 - $77,000Duration: Direct Hire Permanent
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:As a Planner, you will be integral in managing and controlling plant inventories to meet financial objectives and support production scheduling. This role requires a strong background in inventory management, scheduling, and collaboration with the production team to optimize output and achieve on-time delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and control plant inventories to meet business plan financial objectives.
Schedule and maintain OEM and interplant shop orders, ensuring adherence to required start and completion dates.
Work closely with the production team to ensure machine utilization is maximized.
Track ball lot progress throughout the manufacturing cycle, with frequent shop floor employee interactions.
Maintain on-time delivery objectives, developing necessary controls and procedures.
Control material and finished ball allocations for steel and ceramic products, handling order startup and specifications.
Process RFQs from sales/customer service and provide lead times.
Support production by managing manufacturing routers, forecasting orders, and maintaining strategic inventories.
Monitor plant capacity and provide management reports for shop load and on-time delivery analysis.
Coordinate activities for new or special products across engineering, materials, manufacturing, and customer service.
Maintain ISO/AS compliance for contract reviews and customer-supplied products.
Provide backup for inventory adjustments and support for managers to ensure optimal product flow.
Communicate order status updates to sales/customer service as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution (preferred).
APICS CPIM, CSCM, or CPM certification is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in scheduling, planning, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with MRP/ERP and planning systems is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to maintaining safety, cleanliness, and confidentiality standards.
