With over 50 years of experience placing people with both small and global companies, we serve clients nationwide from our offices in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Progressive Die Tool Designer with expertise in CATIA to join our dynamic team at a leading stamping company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing progressive stamping dies and a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop progressive dies for metal stamping processes using CATIA software.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and client specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, material flow analyses, and ensure proper die functionality.
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of tooling components and assemblies.
  • Optimize die designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability while adhering to project timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die design and implementation.
  • Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive die design experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced expertise in CATIA for 3D modeling and design.
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of metal stamping processes, material properties, and tool steel selection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience with sheet metal forming and secondary operations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
