With over 50 years of experience placing people with both small and global companies, we serve clients nationwide from our offices in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.Job Summary:We are seeking a Value Stream Team Leader to oversee the operation of one or more plant value streams. Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, the Team Leader will implement the Parker Lean System and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, and develop a qualified workforce. This role is key to reducing operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:As a Value Stream Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Lead the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain, production control, and manufacturing priorities.
Meet regularly with Value Stream associates to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Assist the Value Stream Manager in creating continuous product flow, utilizing pull systems, and leveling workloads.
Ensure standardized work and processes are followed while implementing needed adjustments to maintain compliance with safety and 5S requirements.
Create a positive team atmosphere, hold regular team meetings, assign tasks, and coordinate support activities from other departments.
Provide effective cross-training for associates and backups to ensure the smooth operation of the value stream.
Develop and maintain a visually controlled environment through Tracking Centers and Team Improvement Boards to ensure no problems are hidden.
Work with the Value Stream Manager to develop the future state value stream map and manage plans to achieve it.

Qualifications:To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

3-5 years of management or supervisory experience.
Background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management, and inventory control.
Strong teamwork and teambuilding skills, with the ability to assess and develop individual and team capabilities.
Proven ability to promote safety, encourage new ideas, and embrace positive change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with or leading LEAN teams is preferred.
